Why LK Eco Style…

The L is for my late son ‘Luca’ whom, was stillborn at full term in June 2012, and the K for my Rainbow baby ‘Ky’ a year younger than Luca. Both my boys are the reason I do anything in life.

Rainbow baby means, ‘The rainbow after the storm’.

Eco Style, is because my clothing line is Eco, ethical, sustainable, fairtrade & Vegan friendly!

Why did I choose this type of clothing…

That is simple! I am passionate as I have become older and seeing what is happening to our environment, climate change and the positive of using sustainable products. As a mother myself to 2 boys, one with me aged 7 now. I worry about what the world is going to be like for him in the future and my grand-children, great grand-children and generations to come.

Also as a human with compassion & a conscious, I could not sleep at night if I knew my clothing had been made in a sweatshop by children…this is why Fairtrade is so incredibly important! Our clothing is made in humane conditions, by adults paid properly for their work…hence why you may pay a little more for Fairtrade clothing!

One charity we are supporting was approached by a designer brand, after their due diligence they found they were not Fairtrade and therefore declined working with them. Thankfully we have all the certification that support us as a Fairtrade retailer, hence why we were accepted by them!

I encourage everyone to think of what they buy, even from a designer label. That said not all designer labels can be painted with the same brush as the one declined by the charity!
